I’m Quyên—a Realtor® based in Salt Lake City, Utah, a furnished rental landlord with an extensive background in project management, and someone with a passion for helping new landlords navigate the world of extended-stay furnished mid-term rentals (MTR). Whether you're just stepping into the mid-term rental business or looking to set up your first furnished property, I’m here to guide you in building a solid foundation for your business while delivering excellent hospitality to your tenants.
My experience as a project manager taught me how to organize complex processes, manage risk, and stay resourceful to keep costs down. I bring that same mindset to the rental business and combine it with real estate knowledge to share practical, actionable advice to help landlords avoid overwhelm, ensure compliance with rental regulations, and spend wisely from the start.
🏠 My Landlord Journey
I started my real estate journey with long-term, unfurnished rentals, but eventually made the shift to furnished mid-term rentals (MTR). I casually walked into it as a host, and the importance of regulations didn’t immediately occur to me. Over time, I realized that furnished rentals with extended stays is a completely different game. Unlike short-term hosting—they come with the responsibilities and legalities of true landlording, which require a strategic approach.
When I shifted my mindset from host to landlord, everything changed. I discovered that providing great hospitality doesn’t mean saying yes to every tenant request. Instead, it’s about setting clear boundaries, embracing the tenant-landlord relationship, and managing your rental with care and professionalism. Once I made that shift, everything felt lighter. It was a light bulb moment that inspired me to help others build their own furnished rental business with a mindset rooted in compliance with regulations like the Fair Housing Act, and a path to sustainable success, even with just one property.

My mission is to share the essential knowledge I wish I had when starting out. I want to show that you can absolutely provide exceptional hospitality as a responsible landlord by focusing on building a solid, compliant foundation for lasting success.

When I’m not working on my rental business or helping others with theirs, you’ll find me spending time with my partner, Fania and our two pups, Nema and Meeko—whether we’re out on the trails, wandering the farmers market, working in our little garden (which we affectionately call Nema’s Farm), or binge-watching Say I Do on the couch—we always make the most of every moment together.
